FAQ
Q: What is a zine?
A: A zine generally refers to a collection of works based around a central theme. A fanzine, in particular, is an unofficial project that often features more than one contributor.
Q: So what is "First Steps"?
A: First Steps is a zine focused around the idea of the Haikyuu characters in their childhoods. All art and fics included within the zine will be canon compliant, and will portray the characters in their elementary school years and younger (ie. Japan's 6th grade and below).
Q: Will this zine be physical or digital?
A: Currently, the hope is for a physical zine + physical merch, but this will ultimately be determined by the interest check.
Q: Will this zine be for profit or for charity?
A: This zine will be for charity! All proceeds earned from this zine will be donated to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA). You can find out more about the hospital and the work they do here.
Q: Will this zine be SFW?
A: Yes, the zine will be 100% SFW. There will be no mature themes portrayed in this zine.
Q: Will this zine include ships?
A: This zine will be gen and will include no ships.
Q: Are there a set number of contributors?
A: Currently, we aim to have the following numbers of contributors:
☆ 1 Cover Artist
☆ 20 Page Artists
☆ 5 Writers
☆ 5 Merch ArtistsIn total, we aim to have have 31 contributors, including 5 guests spread across the 4 roles.
This number, however, is subject to change.
Q: I have a question that wasn't answered here!
A: Please feel free to dm us or submit a form response with any other questions you may have!
We thank you for your support, and are very excited to see this zine come together!
